Critical Design Review

Description: Final presentation of the CDIO Experimental Capstone Course prior to full implmentation and operation of the SPHERES equipment in the KC-135 two months later. Several design factors were frozen after the CDR, although development continued in several sub-systems.
This being the last CDIO design presentation, it gives only a short introduction into the project. Previous presentations motivated the project and the class in more depth.

Description: This paper was presented at the meeting of the AAS/AIAA by a students and a staff member from the CDIO class. The paper details the design of the testbed and discusses how SPHERES will contribute to formation flight research.
