David W. Miller is an Associate Professor of Aeronautics & Astronomics and Director of the Space Systems Laboratory (SSL) at MIT. Three years ago, Professor Miller learned that MIT received no applicants from the John D. O'Bryant School for Mathematics and Science (JDOB). He and SharonLeah Brown, the Educational Outreach Coordinator, initiated the NASA funding proposal for the pilot program between SSL and the O'Bryant School. Professor Miller has contributed to the program's curriculum development and hosted two tours of the SSL labs for JDOB students.

As SSL Educational Outreach Coordinator, SharonLeah Brown has been responsible for the overall administration of the pilot program, acting as the principal liaison between JDOB, MIT SSL, and the MIT Edgerton Center. Her work towards coordinating the resources and efforts of several institutions has been integral to the successful execution of the program. Ms. Brown is currently working on a proposal for further NASA E/PO funding, which would allow for continuation of the pilot program.

Jonathan How, Manuel Martinez-Sanchez, and Brian Williams are all faculty members in the MIT Department of Aeronautics & Astronomics and members of SSL. Because NASA OSS grants were awarded for their research proposals, SSL was able to propose supplementary E/PO program funding. Professors How, Martinez-Sanchez, and Williams have acted as scientific advisors to our program, contributing to the development of its curriculum.
